GETTING OLDER STANDING IN SPACE

Don’t ask me why, I can’t retort this inquiry, I have consciously gorged on life and enjoyed it so I will declare more then the majority of folk I know, perhaps, since on the whole, I have never said NO, to an adventure that is. Matter of fact, its vital to my directive to feel alive, similar to breathing air, or a fish out of water. Not perilous exploits, I in no way thought about going sky diving, or jumping off a bridge to go budgie jumping. Metaphorically speaking I have been told that I enjoy planning, to ascend the utmost mountain peak, at that moment when I arrive at the summit, I would be in awe for a brief amount in time, and subsequently I would be making preparation for my next venture. Or, on another note, my family exquisitely describes me as a gypsy. I don’t object since that is genuinely what I am.

What could I be looking for, people want to know, nothing I say, just stopped by to say hello. Certainly my hubbers friends know my story well, nothing should surprise, in actuality what I have seen and done. We survive as humans and give the impression of being the same, yet we are accordingly diverse, why do you reason, this way or that? God fashioned us with free well and that is the fact, and please have faith in me, I partake all my free well to satisfy me, and all I can UTTER is what a life, can you imagine how complex it is to become rendered inoperative, no more flight?

This is merely a fragment of life I do not like, on the contrary I was stopped in my tracks, for a purpose to show me what it is like, to be humbled and mandatory to slow down. What have I cultivated from this reality? Fundamentally, I by no means knew I could write, without hesitation I was given this as a gift, as it appeared with my newborn life, at first I suffered unnatural to tolerate. In spite of the whole lot I still hear the piped piper; however I am now left behind, although I have now learned to re-construct my escapades still clearly from memory.

Furthermore, I have gained knowledge to love in a good health way and bestow my family and friends with a profound new concentration of heart. This is the raison d'être was essential to be stranded ashore; I have re-discovered my endearing adult children now. An additional thought in relation to this, what it is like to wake up one day and you’re old? Amazing not a soul is keen on restrictions in achievement and exploits, not to mention lines on my face. In half a shake, I am the elder to share my journeys with my friends; we are altogether going to this place, I express amusement at myself for the reason that I happened to arrive here, kicking and screaming all the way. I transpire a horrendous despondency to unearth this space; therefore I now find reasons why I am here in the place, solely another flower that shined bright, then departs and withers slowly from this resting place.

I scream, I have not finished so at least let me keep my mind in this outer space….

You write with a purity and sincerity which makes you totally unique and you also write from the heart - not everyone can do that - and as I always say to people - just be yourself and let that light shine!

And your light shines amongst the brightest stars in the skies at hubpages ....

I think the trick to life is to never get tied of it, or discovering that there is no more things to be done or discovered. My Grandmother said that one day, and I became worried that she was telling me something more behind her usual smiles. But I am glad to say she is smart enough to sense what I think and it turns out she isn't tired of life yet, just tired physically. Phew! I think that you are realizing that at a certain age, it's okay to slow down or ease back a bit. You have had a dynamic and productive life, and have a lot to be grateful for, Darlene. The flower may bloom and then cease blooming but it still grows and lives and flourishes. It grows some more. You are the flower that has to grow some more - we understand.

I love the flower analogy you use here. I hope that you always find the friendship and love that sustains you in your life. I am glad you are here in Hub Pages! *Big Hugs for you* : )

Very well written. I am here to remind you that Old Age is what ever you make it---simply just be yourself. (Age can be colorful)and I have placed that RED rose that has faded between the pages of the book in my life and I'm still here just being ME.

When I met you the very first time I was only aware of the tremendous energy of love and life in you. Later, when you told me you were retired, i was amazed. You see, the real you can never grow old. It is frustrating, though, that the body do not keep up with the spirit. Nice hub, reminding us to appreciate life as it comes.

Some days are just better than others though, eh? Some days you feel like you are 21 again and you can do anything! The next, you feel like an old sock whose been through too many washloads and you belong in the waste can. Ah - but it beats the alternative every time hands down, eh? Great writing and glad you are still in my orbit, Darski!

I just came back to revisit a familiar place. For me I sometimes go where it is peaceful and quiet so I can think.I want to grow old gracefully and understand more than I did the day before.I want to love life more and help others always without thinking.Thats the way my life is an open book for everyone to turn the pages over and over again.Hopefully never getting bored or tired.

Loved the "Getting Older in Outer Space". You're are a beautifully and talented writer and always from your deepest soul. It is amazing how things do change as we age, but with the resistance of our minds and hearts, we venture on like the winds of our destiny. We are not yet finished with our journeys, and like children, we still feel the need to "explore" laugh love and giggle. I lvoe reading your stories. They are wholesome and honest. Keep writing, you have lots of followers. AWESOMR

For me, growing older..is still happening. Just when I think I've seen everything, someone or something proves me wrong. I'm not one to sit in a chair and wait for the "moments" to happen. I've never felt old, although at almost 67 people think you're old...but I feel young inside, always will. Having a "zest" for life, seeing the positive around you, laughing at everything, including yourself, giving smiles to others...keeps me young. I find the surroundings such a delight, the clouds slowly floating over head, the birds cherping in the distance, the sun's warmth on my skin..all the things the Lord gave us to appreciate, will keep you young and guess what? It's all free. Make the most of every moment, breath in and feel what life "IS". Keep moving, always is the right direction. I lvoe life, as I know you do to Darski. I commend you on this article...it was refreshing and alive.

I arrived at your hub wanting to read one more of your wonderful stories.I love the way you think and often my writings flow in the same direction. As I read your hub I enjoyed reading it and to my surprise I picked one of your stories I have already read.I can only say how wonderful it is to read your thoughts that turn into action before my eyes.I see you doing things that I know do to your accident you are not capable of doing. The mind has so many secrets that we are still far from discovering. When I read your writings I see you dancing.I see you runnning.I see you walking through this huge garden that you have made yourself and plant after plant that is more beautiful than the next.I see fruit trees and flowers everywhere. You will always be doing these amazing things.I am heart broken that I have not found the time to read more.I will push myself to the limits so that I can explore your thoughts and travel together on another adventure.

Dream on, what a nice way to put it, and yes due to my accident I am so very limited, however my mind soars to sights unseen. I do want a garden so much this year...but we are going to get snow today, we get most of our snow in the spring, but it melts fast. Yes come along and travel with me, we will go on great adventures. Love & peace darski
